Bus Transportation To All Students

We are thrilled to introduce the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Transportation for All program for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. This initiative aims to provide safe and reliable transportation options for all Los Angeles Unified families, ensuring students arrive at school punctually and securely.

Here’s a brief overview of how the program works:

      •     Opt-In Convenience: Families can visit lausd.org/schoolbus for a straightforward guide on opting in, ensuring their child’s access to safe and reliable transportation.

      •     Primary and Secondary Eligibility: The opt-in process is open to all families, including elementary students residing beyond a one-mile radius and secondary students residing beyond a two-mile radius.

      •     Magnet and Current Riders: It’s important to note that transportation from the previous school year will not automatically renew. Opting in is necessary each school year, except for students enrolled in a Special Education program with active transportation services.

      •     First Come, First Served: Availability is limited, and bus seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Encourage families to secure their spot early to ensure their child’s transportation needs are met.

      •     Saving Time and Money: With rising gas prices, families may find that opting into the program saves them both time and money. Join us in providing a more convenient and safe transportation experience for all.

For further details and to secure your students’ spots before May 3, please visit lausd.org/schoolbus or contact the Family Hotline at 213.443.1300.

Thank you for your support in ensuring all students have access to transportation that facilitates their educational journey. We look forward to a successful partnership in the upcoming school year.
